An abstract painting of our journey through life. White Line on Linen follows the path of a welcome swallow as it flies below the roof inside an old town hall. In her abstract and minimal style, the artist wanted to depict the concept that we never follow the same path more than once. To this end, none of the lines in this work ever repeat. We never have the same journey more than once.
The use of a white line creates a gentle contrast with the colour of linen – to create a feeling of peace and tranquility. The artist painted this work to music to find an even flow and rhythm in the brush strokes – to infuse the artwork with a raw and tribal essence.
