Description
This modern monochromatic painting uses black, white and Paynes Grey as the colour palette. An experiment with different strengths of oil paint. The idea of a play with light and shadows on different surfaces and geometric divisions. The artist loves using the ‘Paynes Grey’ pigment for its tangible flexibility. After the paint surface had dried it could be rubbed back to create an interesting shiny silver surface. Like overworking the graphite in a grey lead pencil.
This artwork is available as a one off original piece or as a limited edition giclee print. The original artwork is painted with oils on Italian linen and framed in black. The limited edition giclee print is available in a range of sizes and framing options and limited to 50 editions.
